BrillenEyes™ Participates in local charity events
In February BrillenEyes participated in two local charity events. On Saturday, February 21, BrillenEyes donated over 300 frames from their current portfolio for the Illumination Foundation’s Vision Clinic. The event was hosted by the Fullerton Armory and provided free vision care to nearly 100 homeless people. BrillenEyes also donated staff time to volunteer at the event.
On February 25, BrillenEyes attended a training class at Valley High School in Santa Ana where the company’s CEO, Eckhard Wirtz, taught high school students about career possibilities in the optical field. This four hour class provided the students with a perspective on the ins and outs of an optical dispensary as well as a day in the life of an optician. Topics such as frame selection, PD measurement, pre testing, and beginning levels of lab work were discussed.
